By downloading, installing, or using the NoteCard application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.

2. Description of Service

NoteCard is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to help identify and estimate the value of banknotes and paper money from around the world. Our service includes:

  • AI-powered banknote identification
  • Historical and catalog information about banknotes
  • Estimated market valuations
  • Collection management features
  • Premium subscription features

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You may use the App as a guest or create an account using Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information
  • Notify us of any unauthorized access
  • Not share your account with others
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free and Premium Services

NoteCard offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Free users receive a limited number of banknote scans. Premium subscribers get a higher daily scan limit and additional features.

4.2 Payment Terms

Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

4.3 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Upload malicious content or viruses
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the App
  • Circumvent any access restrictions
  • Use automated systems to access the service
  • Harass or harm other users
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Misrepresent your identity

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

  • The accuracy of banknote identifications, grades or authenticity assessments
  • The accuracy of value estimations
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • That the App will meet your requirements

Our AI-based valuations are estimates only and should not be relied upon as professional appraisals. For accurate valuations, please consult a professional paper money dealer or a third-party grading service.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or data
  • Damages arising from reliance on our valuations
  • Any decision made based on App information

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by NoteCard and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

9. User Content

By uploading banknote images to the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store these images for:

  • Providing our identification service
  • Improving our AI algorithms
  • Service analytics and quality assurance

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which NoteCard operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
